BREAST CANCER SURGERY: DELAYED RECONSTRUCTION OF THE BREAST

Naturally, breast restoration is still possible at a later stage, for instance: if a patient explicitly requests it, the breast was removed some years ago or the patient was not offered the option of an immediate reconstruction when first treated.

For a delayed reconstruction of the breast, all three techniques are possible: simple implant reconstruction, back muscle reconstruction or reconstruction with abdominal skin.
